How Your Data Is Used
Your loved one’s information is personal. We believe you should know what happens to it.
Quiet Cards lets you save information about someone you care for so you don’t have to explain their needs every time you create a card. Some of that information helps us write better cards. Other information is simply stored privately for your reference.
Here’s how it works.
What you can save
You can choose to create a Loved One profile with information such as their:
name and photo;
relationship to you;
condition;
stage;
communication needs, behaviors, and sensitivities;
Card Creation Notes;
medications and allergies;
other medical information;
mobility or medical equipment information; and
physician information.
You decide what you want to save. You don’t have to fill in every field.
What AI sees when helping write a card
When you choose Help Me Write It, Quiet Cards sends the AI only the information that can help it understand the person and write a more useful card.
That may include:
the situation you’re creating the card for;
your relationship to your loved one and how the card should refer to them;
their name;
their short condition or diagnosis;
their selected stage;
saved behaviors and communication needs;
Card Creation Notes;
communication points you select for this card; and
anything you intentionally type into the card-creation box.
This is what allows Quiet Cards to remember important context so you don’t have to explain the same things every time.
What AI does not automatically see
The following information from a Loved One profile is not automatically sent to the AI:
medications;
allergies;
other medical conditions;
mobility aids or medical equipment;
physician information;
free-text stage notes;
photos;
your email address; and
your account ID.
Those details stay in the app for your reference.
One important exception: If you intentionally type any of this information into the card-creation box because it matters for that particular card, it will be included in that AI request.
Your photos
Your photos stay private.
Loved One profile photos are stored in private storage and are not sent to the AI when creating cards.
Quiet Cards uses temporary secure links to display those photos inside your account.
Deleting a Loved One profile also removes that Loved One’s stored profile photo from active storage.
Advertising and tracking
Quiet Cards currently does not use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising, session replay, or third-party behavioral analytics.
We don’t sell your Loved One’s health-related information or share it with advertising platforms for targeted advertising.
If those practices ever materially change, our Privacy Policy will be updated and we’ll provide any notice or choices required by law.
Who helps run Quiet Cards
Like most apps, Quiet Cards relies on technology providers to make the service work.
Supabase helps provide account authentication, database services, and private photo storage.
Lovable and Cloudflare infrastructure help operate the application and process requests.
Google Gemini, through the Lovable AI Gateway, helps generate card wording when you use AI-assisted card creation.
These services may process information when necessary to perform those functions.
For more detail about our service providers and data practices, please read our Privacy Policy.
Deleting information
You can delete your information.
You have control over the information you save in Quiet Cards.
You can:
edit or remove information from a Loved One profile;
delete individual cards;
delete a Loved One profile;
choose whether to delete or keep that Loved One’s cards when deleting their profile; and
permanently delete your entire Quiet Cards account through Settings.
Deleting your account removes your active Quiet Cards account data, including Loved One profiles, photos, cards, and stacks.
Some information may remain temporarily in service-provider backups, security logs, or recovery systems according to those providers’ practices.
Anything you’ve already printed, screenshot, photographed, downloaded, or shared outside Quiet Cards cannot be pulled back by the app.
Medical information
A note about medical information.
Quiet Cards lets you save certain medical information for your own reference, but Quiet Cards is not a medical-record system or healthcare provider.
Don’t rely on Quiet Cards as your only source for medication lists, allergies, emergency information, medical identification, or other important health information.
Quiet Cards is a communication tool.
Reviewing AI-generated cards
You’re always in control of the finished card.
AI helps with the words. You make the final decision.
Always read a generated card before you use, print, display, or share it. If something doesn’t accurately represent your loved one or what you’re trying to communicate, change it.
Limited AI Usage Records
Quiet Cards keeps a small record when your account requests AI card generation so we can prevent abuse and understand how the feature is being used. We record only the time of the request, whether it was an initial generation or regeneration, and whether it succeeded, failed, or was blocked by a usage safeguard.
We do not store your prompt, generated card text, Loved One profile information, Card Creation Notes, medical information, or AI response in these usage records.
